An upcoming winter storm expected to hammer the Midwest has impacted at least one Big 12 women’s basketball game this weekend.
Kansas State is set to host Texas Tech this Saturday, January 4th, and the University announced that the game has been moved up to a 1:00 p.m. CT tip off in Manhattan.
No. 12 Kansas State is coming off a 74-55 win over Houston on Wednesday, while Texas Tech lost to Arizona State 79-61.

All of Kansas is expected to get hit hard by a winter storm that could start impacting the central part of the state on Saturday afternoon. Right now, according to the National Weather Service in Topeka, Kansas, the forecast includes a mix of sleet, freezing rain and moderate to heavy snow.
With the precipitation set to begin in the afternoon on Saturday, the hope is to get this game wrapped up before the weather turns for the worse, and also allow Texas Tech time to get out of Manhattan and fly back to Lubbock.
