K-State vs. TCU Predictions
This season at home, TCU’s been dominant. The team holds a perfect 7-0 record in games at Schollmaier Arena, which should help the team’s confidence vs. the Wildcats. Kansas State has struggled on the road this season, with a record of 0-2 away from the Octagon of Doom. The Wildcats dropped games to St. John’s in New York and to in-state foe Wichita State.
Kansas State has been an incredibly inconsistent team this fall, entering Big 12 play on a three-game losing streak prior to their upset win. The Wildcats are led by a group of four double-digit scores. Veteran Big 12 forward David N’Guessan leads the way for Jerome Tang’s group with 13.6 PPG, followed by three-point specialist Brendan Hausen (13.0), Dug McDaniel (10.3), and Coleman Hawkins (10.1).
The Wildcats feature nearly an entirely new squad from 2023-24 to now, with just three returners to Manhattan. Those players are senior forward David N’Guessan, sophomore wing Macaleab Rich, and sophomore Taj Manning.
As for TCU, the team has a plethora of scoring options to mention. Five players average more than nine points per game, including Vasean Allette (10.7), Noah Reynolds (10.6), Trazarien White (10.2), Brenden Wenzel (9.4), and Ernest Udeh Jr (9.2).
Both teams are without key players for different reasons, as the Horned Frogs lost one of their top transfers, senior guard Frankie Collins, to a season-ending injury, and Kansas State lost senior forward Achor Achor due to disciplinary reasons.
