Jaden Nixon is no stranger to the Big 12, as he spent the first three seasons of his career at Oklahoma State.

From the 2021-23, Nixon logged 110 carries for 500 yards (4.5 ypc) and two touchdowns for the Cowboys. But, after sitting behind the likes of Jaylen Warren, Dominic Richardson, and Ollie Gordon, Nixon opted to enter the transfer portal and ended up at Western Michigan.

There, Nixon budded into a star, turning 143 carries into 919 yards (6.4 ypc) and 12 touchdowns, earning first-team All-MAC honors for the Broncos in 2024.

Now, it appears he’s headed back to the Big 12, as 247Sports’ Matt Zenitz reports that Nixon is expected to transfer to UCF and play under Scott Frost next fall.

Listed at 5-foot-10, 185 pounds, Nixon was a three-star prospect in the Class of 2021, and signed with Mike Gundy and the Pokes out of Lone Star High School in Frisco, Texas.

He ranks as the No. 28 running back in the portal and will immediately play a role in helping replace RJ Harvey.

Nixon will get a chance to face his former team — who apparently snubbed him an opportunity to come back home
