Just a few days ago, the Texas Longhorns saw their season come to an end with a 28-14 loss to Ohio State in the College Football Playoff semifinals.

After the game concluded, Texas safety Michael Taaffe went viral as he let the pain of the loss show while he exited the field into the tunnel.

Taaffe, a senior and vocal leader for the Longhorns, wears his emotions on his sleeve, and in this particular moment, it caught the attention of the cameramen.

That video has over 4 million views on Twitter now, and one of the most popular quote tweets was that of former Oklahoma linebacker, Nik Bonitto, who was clowning Taaffe after his emotional outburst.

On Sunday, Bonitto’s Denver Broncos dropped an NFL Wildcard game to the Buffalo Bills and were eliminated from this year’s playoffs.

Bonitto’s emotions showed in his postgame interview with the media, and now he’s getting trolled by Texas fans, who obviously took notice of his tweet just a few days ago.

Safe to say the Red River Rivalry extends well beyond that patch of grass in the middle of the Texas State Fair.
