With eyes starting to shift toward the 2025 NCAA Tournament, many have begun to wonder which teams have a shot at a National Championship this spring.

Two teams from the Big 12 Conference have earned some praise among sports betters, with No. 2 Iowa State and No. 10 Houston receiving top-five odds to win it all.

The Cyclones currently check in with the third-best odds, trailing Duke and Auburn, with a 9/1 shot to win it all. The Cougars sit two spaces behind their Big 12 counterpart, with 14/1 odds to win the tournament.

While both teams sit at 4-0 in league play, the pair each has a difficult matchup in the fifth conference game of the season. Iowa State hosts No. 9 Kansas at Hilton Coliseum while the Cougars take on the surging West Virginia Mountaineers at the Fertitta Center.

Despite Kansas, Texas Tech, Arizona, and West Virginia all looking solid in January, the Cougars and Cyclones rank in a tier above the rest. The two teams finished atop the league in 2023-24, with Houston finishing 15-3 in conference play, followed by Iowa State at 13-5.

The two take the court against one another on Saturday, February 22nd, in Houston.
