Oklahoma State's Nolan Schubart (10) celebrates a home run with Donovan LaSalle (19) and Zach Ehrhard (4) in the first inning during the college Bedlam baseball game between Oklahoma State University Cowboys and the University of Oklahoma Sooners at O'Brate Stadium in Stillwater, Okla., Friday, April 5, 2024.

We are just a little over three weeks away from the start of the 2025 college baseball season. Last week, D1Baseball.com released their Preseason Top 25 and earlier this week they released their preseason All-American teams.

Despite there only being three players from the Big 12 who made the cut, this conference is still loaded with quality talent. Here are the three Big 12 players who made the D1Baseball All-American teams.

Nolan Schubart, OF/1B, Oklahoma State (First-Team)

There have been only thirteen players in OSU history to earn All-America honors in multiple seasons and Nolan Schubart is one of them. While he does play two positions, D1Baseball selected him as the designated hitter for the first team. Last season Schubart led the Big 12 led the Big 12 in home runs (23), RBIs (68), on-base percentage (.513) and slugging percentage (.838). Nolan is projected to be a first round pick and is arguably the best player in the Big 12. I expect him to have another monster year in Stillwater before heading off to the MLB.

Dominic Voegele, RHP, Kansas (Second Team)

Out of the surprises in the Big 12 last season, Kansas starting pitcher Dominic Voegele may have been the biggest one. As a true freshman last season Dominic had a ridiculous state line: 7-2, 3.89 ERA, 80 strikeouts and a .235 BAA over 15 starts and 81 innings of work. Those numbers were good enough to earn him Big 12 Freshman of the Year and First Team Freshman All-American honors. Voegele finished the 2024 season tied for third in the conference in wins (7) and enters 2025 as the Big 12’s top starting pitcher.

Gabe Davis, RHP, Oklahoma State (Third-Team)

Last but not least is Gabe Davis, the tallest pitcher in the Big 12. Davis, a 6-foot-9 right-handed junior out of Choctaw, Oklahoma, has made some serious progressions this offseason with the Collegiate National Team as he turned some heads. Gabe cut his walk rate in half as a sophomore and had an impressive 28.6% strikeout rate. While his numbers across the board may not scream All-American, this is more of a projection pick from D1Baseball. Between his size and his power, it’s clear that people think his ceiling is high. Now, it’s just a matter of putting it all together this season.
