It’s never too early to look ahead toward the upcoming season, and even though it may not kick off for another 213 days, 247Sports’ Brad Crawford elected to take a stab at ranking the nation’s Top 10 quarterbacks next fall.

While names like Iowa State’s Rocco Becht, Kansas State’s Avery Johnson, Baylor’s Sawyer Robertson, TCU’s Josh Hoover, and a few more could perform as some of the country’s best signal callers in 2025, Crawford listed just one Big 12 quarterback on his list at No. 4, Arizona State’s Sam Leavitt.

“As a necessity to Arizona State’s continued success, Sam Leavitt will see a rise in production without Cam Skattebo shouldering some of the offensive load next season. Leavitt was elite for Kenny Dillingham’s squad as a freshman, establishing himself as one of the Big 12’s top players. He went 4-1 against ranked teams, the lone loss coming in the fifth overtime to Texas in the College Football Playoff. Leavitt’s four-touchdown outing in the league title game against Iowa State was his arrival moment nationally and there’s more to come.”

Crawford also provided some projections for the upcoming season and believes that Leavitt will go 236-399 for 3,220 yards with a touchdown-to-interception ratio of 30-5. He also noted Leavitt’s impressive rushing ability, projecting 655 yards and eight scores on the ground.

Joining Leavitt on the list are Auburn’s Jackson Arnold, Vanderbilt’s Diego Pavia, Penn State’s Drew Allar, Indiana’s Fernando Mendoza, South Carolina’s Lanorris Sellers, Miami’s Carson Beck, Texas’ Arch Manning, LSU’s Garrett Nussmeier, and Clemson’s Cade Klubnik.
