Baylor vs. Houston Predictions
For Baylor, it’s safe to say that things have gone south with multiple star players banged up. The Bears have seen players like VJ Edgecombe, Jeremy Roach, Langston Love, and more all miss time due to the injury bug, and unfortunately, it claimed another with the loss of Josh Ojianwuna for the season.
The group did take a step forward, returning both Love and Roach against UCF, a game where the duo combined for 25 points. They now pivot to face one of the best teams in the Big 12 Conference, who enter the game tied for first in league play with an 11-1 conference record.
With the exception of the overtime loss to No. 13 Texas Tech, Houston has been borderline unbeatable in 2024-25. The group picked up where they left off in 2023-24 and are on pace to have the nation’s best defense yet again. They are led by a cast of impressive scorers, including LJ Cryer, Emanuel Sharp, J’Wan Roberts, and Milos Uzan.
When looking at statistics, Houston’s overwhelming advantage comes when discussing team defense. They are averaging the least amount of points surrendered per game at 57, which is nearly six points fewer than second place. They should be able to force some turnovers against a squad down one of their best players.
