Arizona vs. Baylor Predictions
While Arizona is without question one of the best teams in the Big 12 Conference and in the country this season, they find themselves in new territory heading to Waco. The Wildcats have dropped back-to-back games for the first time since late November with losses to Kansas State and No. 5 Houston. The two losses, while disappointing, didn’t come at any massive deficits, as Tommy Lloyd’s group had a shot to win both, losing the pair of games by a combined seven points.
Senior guard Caleb Love leads the team in scoring this season, averaging 15.9 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 3.4 assists per game. He has been rough as of late, however, shooting an ice-cold 1-15 from three-point range in his last two outings. He will, without question, be one of the biggest names to watch in the contest.
Baylor welcomes Arizona to Foster Pavilion at an interesting point in the season. The unit has been bashed with injuries to multiple stars, including VJ Edgecombe, Jeremy Roach, Langston Love, Josh Ojianwuna, and more, but will enter the game relatively healthy. Since his return to action, junior guard Langston Love has been really solid, averaging 16 points per game over his last three.
When looking at statistics, the two programs are fairly evenly matched as the Wildcats enter the game with the Big 12’s third-best offense and nine-best defense, while Baylor is listed at No. 5 and No. 10, respectively.
