The 2025 NFL Draft is still months away, but with the college and NFL football seasons over, the draft process has become the main talking point for the sport over the next several weeks.
After producing a Heisman Trophy winner and some of the top players at their respective positions in this cycle, the Big 12 appears to be in position to have up to three of the first five players taken off the board.
Travis Hunter and Tetairoa McMillan should be the first players taken off the board at their respective spots, while Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders is a potential candidate to be the first quarterback off the board as well.
Sanders has been tied to pretty much every team in contention for the top quarterback in this draft at some point or another. We’ve seen it be the New York Giants, and the Tennessee Titans, and now the Cleveland Browns are all the buzz again.
Recently, Shedeur went viral in a video when he discussed playing Madden, and that the only team he uses when playing is the Cleveland Browns.
Cleveland holds the No. 2 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft and has already met with Sanders about the possibility of drafting him in April.
Additionally, the Browns are reportedly the first team that Sanders will meet with at the NFL Combine, which only furthers the intrigue.
Sanders, along with Miami (FL) quarterback Cam Ward are seen as the most likely quarterbacks to go first, and it appears that Sanders might have a feeling that it will be his name called when the Browns are on the clock.
Cleveland struggled mightily in 2024, going 3-14 just a season after going 11-6 in 2023.
