We’re two weekends into the 2025 college softball season and we’ve already had a fair share of surprises in the Big 12.
Nothing is set in stone with teams around just 10 games into their season, but there are things to be gleaned from the action so far. Arizona seems to be getting off to the best start of anyone in the conference, while Oklahoma State is going the battle-tested route with a surprising 5-4 start, but several wins over ranked opponents.
This week, we have a couple of Big 12 teams heading to the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic, Arizona hosting two WCWS semifinalists, and several other notable contests to keep up with.
Here’s a comprehensive schedule of the most notable Big 12 softball games of the week, spanning from Thursday morning all the way into Sunday evening.
Notable Big 12 Softball for Week 3 (Feb. 20-23, 2025)
2025 Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic
The Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic has been played for 20 years and will be returning to Cathedral City, California, this week from February 20-23. A total of 31 teams will compete in the tournament, with the Big 12 sending Baylor, BYU, and Utah to the action.
Arizona will welcome several teams to Tuscon this week, but the notable opponents are both ranked and coming off WCWS semifinal appearances in 2024. The biggest challenger is No. 1 Texas (11-0), whom Arizona will face on Saturday, while the other is No. 20 Stanford (9-0), a team that the Wildcats will see twice before the end of the week.

2025 Sun Devil Classic (Arizona State Tournament)
Arizona State has plenty to prove this weekend, and with three games that should provide them some wins, they should walk out of this weekend with a better record. However, the one that everyone will be tuning in for is on Friday, when the Sun Devils take on No. 3 Florida (13-1).
