Big 12 Freshman Carter Bryant’s NBA Draft Stock Keeps Climbing

The 2025 NBA Draft might still be months away, but teams are already shaping their big boards—and one name that’s making waves is Arizona freshman Carter Bryant. His stock has been on the rise lately, and he’s quickly becoming one of the Big 12’s standout talents this season.

“Carter Bryant came out of high school as one of the more gifted players in his class, but most folks figured he’d need some time before jumping to the NBA,” said Travis Branham of 247Sports. “He was still trying to figure out his game, and his confidence was up and down early in the season. But with Trey Townsend stepping into a smaller role for the Wildcats, head coach Tommy Lloyd has turned to Bryant more often—and he’s stepped up.”

So far this season, Bryant’s averaging 6.3 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per game. But what’s really turning heads is his three-point shooting. The California native has caught fire lately, hitting nearly 39% of his shots from deep during conference play.

“Bryant just looks way more comfortable now in his role as a perimeter shooter,” Branham added. “He’s also showing more confidence grabbing boards and making plays. With his 6-foot-8, 220-pound build and a clean, smooth jumper, there’s a lot to like about his potential at the next level. He’s turning into a key X-factor for Arizona, and with March Madness coming up, he’s got a real shot to boost his draft stock even more if he helps the Wildcats make a run.”
