On Tuesday afternoon, twitter account College Football Alerts released a graphic featuring the Top 25 highest-paid players in college football from an NIL standpoint.

Four quarterbacks from the Big 12 checked in on the list, including Arizona State’s Sam Leavitt, TCU’s Josh Hoover, Kansas State’s Avery Johnson, and Texas Tech’s Behren Morton.

While it’s uncertain just how accurate the list is, Leavitt was listed as the Big 12’s highest-paid player at $3 million, followed by Hoover at $2.6 million, Johnson at $1.8 million, and Morton at $1.7 million. Leavitt checks in as the country’s 10th highest-paid player, followed by Hoover at No. 14, Johnson at No. 20, and Morton at No. 25.

The four Big 12 signal callers included on the list compiled a total of 37 wins and 16 losses, with Levitt leading the way at 11 wins in Arizona State’s Big 12 Championship season, followed by Hoover and Johnson with nine wins, and Morton with eight.

While the four featured in the Top 25 list are expected to be some of the league’s top passers on teams with a shot at a College Football Playoff birth, the Big 12 is home to even more talented quarterbacks nearing the Top 25.

BYU’s Jake Retzlaff, Iowa State’s Rocco Becht, and Baylor’s Sawyer Robertson are all returning in 2025, with more to prove after falling short last fall.

Regardless of the accuracy of the list, it’s safe to say that Big 12 fans will be blessed with some incredible quarterback talent in 2025.
