With Iowa State hoops fresh off a 17-point win over Arizona on Saturday, ESPN analyst Fran Fraschilla made sure to give plenty of love to Cyclone Nation after the game.
Fraschilla posted a video of Iowa State fans celebrating the dominant win, writing, “So many great places to play & great people in the @Big12Conference but no place where “nice” in the folks’ DNA like Ames, Iowa.”
Then on Sunday, FOX Sports broadcaster Tim Brando, who calls plenty of college football games across the Big 12, showed some love to Cyclone Nation as well with his response to Fraschilla’s post, adding, “I can’t wait to get there again.”
Iowa State’s home court advantage has been tremendous this season, with only one loss, a 19-point defeat to Kansas State, coming at Hilton Colesium.

The Cyclones are 22-7 overall and 12-6 in Big 12 play. They wrap up the regular season this week hosting BYU on Tuesday and then travel to Kansas State on Saturday before the Big 12 Tournament begins next week in Kansas City, which has long been dubbed by many Iowa State fans as “Hilton South”.
Currently, Joe Lunardi’s Bracketology has the Cyclones as a No. 2 seed in the South Region of the 2025 NCAA Tournament.
