In a shocking turn of events for Jerome Tang and the Kansas State Wildcats, senior forward Coleman Hawkins is set to return to action on Wednesday night vs. Cincinnati.

Hawkins suffered a knee injury vs. Utah during the Wildcats’ two-game road stretch, which kept him out of the last three games, according to a report from the Field of 68’s Jeff Goodman.

In 2024-25, Hawkins has been an instrumental piece in the front court for Jerome Tang and company, averaging 10.7 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 4.5 assists per game on 39.8% shooting from the field. He was visibly off against the Utes in Salt Lake City and had been struggling for the past few games.

As rumors circulated surrounding Hawkins’ potential return, On3’s Drew Galloway confirmed that Hawkins would indeed return for the Wildcats and take the court in the starting lineup.

He is set to go with a large brace on his right leg. Hawkins and the Wildcats enter the game as 8.5-point underdogs. K-State and Cincinnati tip off at Fifth-Third Arena on Wednesday, March 5th, at 6:00 p.m. central.
