The final weekend of the 2024-25 regular season is approaching, and the conference tournaments are set to get underway next week.

It will all conclude with Selection Sunday, where the NCAA Tournament Committee will determine what the Field of 68 will look like.

There’s still a lot to be determined between now and then, but one of the most reliable sources for predicting what the tournament bracket might look like has an update.

ESPN’s Joe Lunardi released an updated seed list for the tournament on Friday, with a closer look at where all 68 teams, including the eight Big 12 teams currently projected to go dancing, are seeded.

Here’s how the Big 12 teams stack up against the rest of the field.

Big 12 Basketball Seeds, Overall Rank (March 7, 2025)

Tournament Teams

  • Houston: 1-seed (No. 3)
  • Texas Tech: 2-seed (No. 8)
  • Iowa State: 3-seed (No. 11)
  • Arizona: 4-seed (No. 15)
  • BYU: 7-seed (No. 26)
  • Kansas: 8-seed (No. 29)
  • West Virginia: 9-seed (No. 36)
  • Baylor: 10-seed (No. 37)

Bubble Teams

  • Cincinnati: Next Four Out (No. 74)

Things could change pretty drastically between now and next Sunday, but for the time being, it appears that the Big 12 has eight teams that are headed to the tournament and one team that has a shot but needs quite a bit of help to get there.
