Arizona vs. Kansas Predictions
While players like Jaden Bradley, KJ Lewis, and Henri Veesaar have been stepping up their play lately for the Wildcats, the matchup comes down to Caleb Love. Kansas’ guard depth has been extremely inconsistent on both ends of the court with Dajuan Harris, Rylan Griffen, and Zeke Mayo struggling. If Caleb Love can get hot from the field, Kansas may be in trouble.
For the Jayhawks, the team needs some form of consistency from anyone other than Hunter Dickinson. The senior center has been great for Kansas, averaging 16.9 points, 9.9 rebounds, and two assists per game, however the group around them has underperformed. AJ Storr and Rylan Griffen, two of Kansas’ prized transfer portal pickups are averaging a combined 12.8 points per game.
When looking at statistics, Arizona has an advantage on offense but a small disadvantage on defense. The Wildcats have the Big 12’s best scoring offense, posting 82.2 points per game, however, they also have just the 12th-best defensive unit in the league. For Kansas, things are a bit of a mixed bag with the eighth-best offense and fifth-ranked defense.
