Cincinnati vs. Oklahoma State Predictions
After a dominant performance from Oklahoma State in their previous matchup, it’s tough to imagine much of a script flip in such a short time. Still, Wes Miller and company will look to do so. In Saturday’s loss, Jizzle James, Dan Skillings, and Day Day Thomas did the majority of scoring for their team, recording 44 of the group’s 67 total points.
James and Thomas have been incredibly consistent scorers for Cincinnati in 2024-25, while Skillings has regressed significantly. He will need to find even more impact on Tuesday if the Bearcats are to pull off the upset.
On the opposite side of the court, Oklahoma State has had a turbulent season. They have some signature wins and brutal losses under first-year head coach Steve Lutz but hold a 1-0 lead in the season series. Senior forward Abou Ousmane caught fire against the Bearcats, posting 24 points and eight rebounds while committing just one turnover in the game.
When looking at statistics, Cincinnati has a glaring advantage on defense, with the Big 12’s third-best defense clashing with Oklahoma State’s 11th-ranked offense. If Cincinnati is to get their revenge over Oklahoma State, they will need to be significantly tougher defensively.
