Utah vs. UCF Predictions

Utah enters the Big 12 Tournament in an interesting spot. Regardless of the season’s outcome, it’s the final hoorah for Josh Eilert as the group’s interim head coach. Utah fired Craig Smith in February and moved quickly to the NBA ranks to hire Alex Jensen. The team has been pretty bad without Smith on the sidelines, sitting at 1-4 in their last five games, with the lone win coming against Arizona State.

For UCF, the group has boiled down to a mix of four main stars: Darius Johnson, Keyshawn Hall, Jordan Ivy-Curry, and Moustapha Thiam. When all four show up together, the team is borderline unbeatable from an offensive standpoint. The issue? The group hasn’t exactly meshed together on a consistent basis.

When looking at statistics, neither team has a glaring advantage, as Utah holds the Big 12’s 8th-best offense and 11th-best defense, and UCF checks in at No. 5 and No. 12, respectively.
