The Iowa State Cyclones are just one day removed from getting knocked out of the 2025 Big 12 Tournament and on Friday learned that a 2025 recruit had elected to decommit from the program.
Macari Moore shared the news on X in the late afternoon on Friday.
Moore is a three-star prospect from Ann Arbor, Michigan, where he is the No. 2 player in the state and the No. 24 point guard in the country, according to 247Sports.
He was one of five players in the 2025 class for Iowa State, and one of two point guards set to be coming to Ames.
Iowa State is now down to 4 signees for 2025, but still have the 20th ranked class in the country, per 247Sports.
Killyan Toure is expected to be the point guard coming into the class. Toure is a Top 100 player nationally and a four-star recruit from Brewster Academy. The other commits include forwards Xzavion Mitchell & Dominykas Pleta as well as shooting guard Jamarion Batemon.
The Iowa State Cyclones now await their seed in the 2025 NCAA Tournament, with Selection Sunday coming up this weekend.
