An important piece for the Baylor Bears, senior guard Langston Love has had a hard time staying on the court in his career.
Heading into the NCAA Tournament, Love’s status is being closely monitored after missing time this season due to an ankle injury.
After missing Baylor’s last game in the Big 12 Tournament, Love is expected to make his return for the Bears’ opening matchup in the NCAA Tournament.
The first to report the news was CBS Sports’ Jon Rothstein, who wrote, “Baylor’s Langston Love (ankle) is expected to play in the Bears’ first NCAA Tournament game later this week, per Scott Drew. DNP in last game. Averages 8.4 PPG.”
The Love situation isn’t exactly a new one for Scott Drew and his staff, as the team entered a similar circumstance when heading into the 2024 NCAA Tournament. Love was closely monitored during the lead-up to the previous tournament before being shut down for the remainder of the year.
Now, in 2025, Love appears to be in slightly better health and should have a shot at playing for Baylor. He’s averaging 8.4 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per game in his third season of college basketball.
