Arizona vs. Duke Predictions

Arizona has quietly been one of the tougher teams in the country over the last couple of months, navigating the nation’s fourth-toughest schedule well enough to land them a No. 4 seed in the tournament.

The Wildcats rolled past Akron and then outlasted a tough Oregon team on Sunday night to get to this point. Meanwhile, Duke enjoyed the nation’s 56th-toughest schedule, but has been utterly dominant this season. With Cooper Flagg playing without any leftover issues from his ankle injury in the ACC Tournament, there’s no reason to expect anything but the best from him on Thursday.

Caleb Love, a former UNC Tarheel, would enjoy nothing more than to knock the top-seeded Blue Devils out of the tournament, but that will be easier said than done. Arizona is the biggest underdog of any team in the Sweet 16, and given that this is the same team that handed the Wildcats a 14-point loss back in November, there might be good reason for that.

These are not the same teams that played four months ago, and while Arizona has made major strides in that time, Duke has as well. Arizona will hang tough and make this one interesting, but it will be Duke that prevails when the final buzzer sounds.
