Tulane quarterback T.J. Finley has seen his fair share of college football over the past several years, with the Green Wave being his fifth program since starring at Ponchatoula High School.
Since originally signing with LSU in the class of 2020, Finley has had stints with Auburn, Texas State, Western Kentucky, and now Tulane.
Unfortunately, he could be in the market for a sixth program now—that is, if anyone will have him.
Finley has reportedly been suspended from the program after he was arrested on Wednesday for being in possession of stolen property worth over $25,000. Finley, 23, now faces charges connected to a stolen car, which he told police he recently purchased in Atlanta, according to a report from WVUE-TV.
“We are aware of a situation involving TJ Finley. He has been suspended from the football program pending the outcome of the case,” Tulane University said in a statement. “Due to federal laws governing student privacy, we will not disclose any additional information regarding the student, including information related to disciplinary proceedings.”
Since being booked into Orleans Parish Prison, Finley has been released on bond.
In total, Finley played six games at LSU, 13 games over two seasons at Auburn, and 13 games at Texas State. His stint with the Bobcats was by far his best, as he threw for nearly 3,500 yards and 24 touchdowns while leading Texas State to an 8-5 record, including a 45-21 win over Rice in the First Responder Bowl.
