As we prepare for Monday night’s National Championship game between Houston and Florida in San Antonio, it’s become obvious that the casual American bettor is rooting for one team: The Houston Cougars.
According to the data on Wager Talk, 73% of the wagers on the moneyline are on the Houston Cougars, while Houston is also getting 64% of the action against the spread. The Cougars are +1 heading into the game.
The matchup opened at Florida -1 and has not moved since Saturday night.
The fact that the line has not moved would suggest that the big-money bettors are leaning to Florida, which is resulting in the spread remaining consistent at Florida -1.
