A few days after losing Macaleab Rich to the transfer portal, Kansas State basketball is preparing to lose another contributor from the 2024-25 squad.
According to a report from CBS Sports’ Jon Rothstein, Kansas State guard Brendan Hausen will enter the portal after one year with the program.
Listed at 6-foot-4, 205 pounds, Hausen is a junior from Amarillo, Texas, and spent two seasons with Villanova before coming back closer to his roots.
The move proved fruitful for Hausen, too, as he averaged career highs in points (10.9), rebounds (2.5), assists (0.8), and steals (0.6) during his lone season with the Wildcats.
Hausen is a dangerous three-point shooter, averaging 39.1% from deep over his career and 38.8% over the past season.
He recorded a career-high 27 points in a loss to St. John’s earlier this season, shooting 6-10 from deep and 9-17 from the field.
Kansas State is coming off a disappointing season after going just 16-17 overall and 9-11 in Big 12 play.
