Hours after the Texas Longhorns beat the Arizona State Sun Devils 39-31 in double overtime, the takes were flying on social media. And while there have been thousands of “hot takes” in the wake of one of the best games in College Football Playoff history, we’ve found the one that takes the cake, and it comes courtesy of Kambree Kawahine Koa.
Here it is.

What planet is Kambree living on? Texas entered the game as a 12.5-point favorite, and outside of my show on YouTube (Subscribe to our channel here), where I predicted Arizona State to win 31-30, find me another credible college football voice calling for Arizona State to even keep it within, say, one score? They’re hard to find.
Her tweet, directed at FOX News reporter Bill Melugin, earned this response.
Of course, he’s right. Quite literally, nobody was saying what she claimed. In fact, everyone thought the Sun Devils didn’t deserve to be on the field with the “mighty” Texas Longhorns.
Kambree’s response? “People in my mentions said….”
So now social media trolls qualify as experts of any kind of substance?
And to say that no one thought Texas would make it this far in the SEC is, once again, just wrong. Texas was ranked No. 4 in the country in the AP Preseason Poll.
Texas was also picked the finish No. 2 in the SEC in the preseason poll.
There’s absolutely nothing that Texas has done this year that is unexpected. In fact, they’re exactly where people expected them to be as a Top 4 preseason team in the country, and one of the final two SEC teams remaining in the College Football Playoff.
And is there anything more cringe than a Texas fan acting like they’re some kind of Cinderella?
I have to go throw up now.
