As players start to plan their future moves, one Iowa State veteran is saying farewell to Cyclone Nation.

Defensive back Myles Purchase shared a post on social media saying goodbye and thanking everyone from God to Coach Matt Campbell to Iowa State University.

His post ended with, “Cyclone Nation, thank you for your support and for believing in me. The best is yet to come!”

The 5’11”, 205-pound senior finished his career with 145 tackles, 92 solo, 53 assisted, with one sack, one forced fumble and one interception.

Purchase came out of the Denver area during the Class of 2021 and was a three-star recruit, according to 247Sports. He picked Iowa State over Kansas, Army, Central Michigan and others.

The multi-year starter is an Academic All-Big 12 First Team and Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Roll selection during his time in Ames.

Purchase is projected to be a potential late round pick in the draft. The 2025 NFL Draft takes place Thursday, April 24th to Saturday, April 26th in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
