One of the best safeties in the Big 12 has officially played his final game in the league after two years and 25 career games.

Kansas State safety Marques Sigle shared his farewell to the Wildcats on Friday, as the senior announced his plans to declare for the 2025 NFL Draft.

“First and foremost, I want to thank God for this opportunity because without him, this ain’t possible,” Sigle wrote on X. “He been with me through them long days and dark nights. Gave me the dream that’s turning into a reality.”

“Next, I want to thank Coach Klieman, Coach Klanderman, and Matt Kardulis for trusting in another FCS guy to come play on the big stage,” Sigle continued. “Took my football knowledge and put it on another level. I want to thank the rest of the support staff for helping me through this journey and helping me not just become a better football player but a better person and man.”

In his two seasons with the program, Sigle posted 123 total tackles, 12 pass breakups, one sack, and four interceptions. He transferred to Kansas State in the 2022 offseason after spending time at FCS North Dakota State, Chris Klieman’s former program.

Sigle and the Wildcats finished the 2024 season with a 9-4 record, winning their final game of the year against Rutgers, 44-41. Sigle elected to suit up for the final game of his collegiate career, instead of opting out to focus on the NFL Draft.
