Former West Virginia running back Noel Devine is returning to Morgantown to join Rich Rodriguez’s staff as an offensive analyst.
Devine was an incredible athlete during his time with the Mountaineers, played for Rich Rod in 2007, and remained with the program after Rodriguez took the Michigan job.
Over his four-year stint with WVU, Devine scored 31 touchdowns and piled up over 5,000 all-purpose years. He currently ranks as the third all-time leading rusher in school history.
His combination of speed and elusiveness made Devine a must-see TV star, and he is one of the most memorable offensive players for this generation of West Virginia fans.
Devine made the announcement on Friday morning, quote-tweeting a report from On3 with a statement of his own.
Blessing to be in this position a prayer that’s been answered for sure! Looking forward to learning and working hard to helping build the culture and tradition coach Rod Instilled In me and former players at WVU.
This news also coincided with some great news for the Mountaineers’ running back room, as West Virginia running back Jahiem White has announced he’ll be with the Mountaineers next season.
The Mountaineers will open up the 2025 season against Robert Morris on Saturday, August 30.
