With the College Football Playoff semifinals and national championship game being the only games left between us and the offseason, the vast majority of college football has shifted its focus to roster management for 2025.

The same can be said in the NFL, as general managers and scouts from the 18 teams not in the Playoffs are setting their crosshairs toward April’s draft.

One of the most intriguing names in this upcoming class is undoubtedly Shedeur Sanders, the senior quarterback out of Colorado. There are certainly detractors out there, but after throwing for 14,327 yards and 134 touchdowns over a four-year span, Sanders has several people in his corner saying that he’ll be one of the first quarterbacks off the board.

In this year’s draft that means going very high in the first round, as the first three picks belong to the Titans, Browns, and Giants — all of which are expected to take a signal-caller.

The lattermost of those teams, the New York Giants, have a certified superstar-in-the-making with rookie wide receiver Malik Nabers absolutely killing it in his first year in the league.

Despite well-documented issues at quarterback, Nabers logged a legendary rookie season, totaling 109 receptions for 1,204 yards and seven touchdowns. It would be easy to assume that Nabers is ecstatic about the idea of getting a new quarterback in town that could take his game to the next level, but when asked about the potential of adding Sanders to the mix, he seemed anything but excited.

While meeting with the media following a 20-13 loss to the Eagles on Sunday, Nabers was asked about the rumors linking Shedeur to the Giants. His response was two words: “No comment.”

Now, it is reasonable to think that maybe this is just the competitor in him and the fact that he’d just lost the regular season finale to a division rival would suggest that’s the case here.

However, one would think that a wideout of Nabers’ caliber would be excited to talk about a new quarterback coming into the franchise.
