The 2025 Preseason Big 12 Softball Poll results were released by the conference on Friday, and for the first time ever, Oklahoma State has been tabbed as the favorite.
The Cowgirls earned nine of a possible 10 first-place votes, which were placed by the Big 12 softball head coaches who were not allowed to vote for their own teams or student-athletes.
Texas Tech earned the other two first-place votes, and finished nine poll points behind Oklahoma State for first place. This is the first time in conference history that the Red Raiders have ranked inside the top three of the preseason poll.
Arizona, entering its first softball season in the Big 12, was tabbed third with 81 points. Baylor was voted fourth with 75 points and BYU rounded out the top five with 54 points.
