On Sunday morning, Lance Leipold and the Kansas Jayhawks added a new player in the Class of 2026 with the commitment of three-star offensive lineman Malachi Mills.

Mills, a 6-foot-6 tackle from Westfield, Indiana, chose the Jayhawks over offers from Miami Ohio, Colorado State, Toledo, Florida Atlantic, and more.

“What really stood out to me during the visit was the genuine care and love from the coaching staff,” Mills told 247Sports’ Michael Swain. “They went out of their way to make both me and my dad feel welcomed and at home. I was also impressed by the strong moral values the staff embodies. Overall, I loved everything about the visit, the people, the atmosphere, and the sense of community. I’m so excited to call this place home.”

Coming out of Westfield High School in the Class of 2026, Mills was listed as a three-star prospect by the 247Sports index. He also checked in as the 60th-ranked player at his position and the 13th-ranked player in the state of Indiana.

With his commitment, Mills became Kansas’ seventh commitment in the class, alongside Hunter Higgins, JJ Dunnigan, Josh Galbreath, Nate Sims, Lennie Brown, and Jaylen Mason. The group currently checks in as the nation’s 17th-ranked group and the top-ranked unit in the Big 12 Conference.
