While impressive receivers like Arizona’s Tetairoa McMillan and Colorado’s Travis Hunter have moved on to the NFL ranks following the completion of the 2024 college football season, one league member appears to be carrying the torch into 2025.

In a recent list from 247Sports’ Brad Crawford, which ranked college football’s top 10 wideouts heading into 2025, Arizona State’s Jordyn Tyson received one of the top spots.

“Jordyn Tyson could move into 2026 NFL Draft first-round billing if his career development continues at this stratospheric rate for the Sun Devils,” Crawford said. He was the alpha in the passing game for the Big 12 champions this fall and was unstoppable in November, recording 44 catches for 624 yards and six touchdowns over five games — all wins. Unfortunately, an injury kept him out of the Big 12 title game and College Football Playoff, but he’s back for 2025.”

Tyson earned the No. 3 spot on Crawford’s list, trailing only Alabama’s Ryan Williams and Ohio State’s Jeremiah Smith. He earned placements ahead of Oregon’s Evan Stewart, Ohio State’s Carnell Tate, Clemson’s Antonio Williams, Auburn’s Cam Coleman, LSU’s Nic Anderson, Oklahoma’s Deion Burks, and Oregon’s Dakorien Moore.

Crawford also listed 2025 projections for each player on the list and expects Tyson’s numbers to jump in each category from 2024, with a total of 83 catches for 1,211 yards and 11 touchdowns.

His season was cut short ahead of the College Football Playoff, however, Tyson enters the upcoming season as the league’s top-ranked receiver and should have a strong chance to contend for a Big 12 title and National Championship alongside Sam Leavitt and Kenny Dillingham.
