On Monday, Lance Leipold and the Kansas Jayhawks continued their hot streak of recruiting in the Class of 2026 with the addition of four-star offensive lineman Kaden Snyder.
Snyder, a 6-foot-5 offensive tackle from Salina, Kansas, chose the Jayhawks over offers from Arkansas, Kansas State, Duke, and Wisconsin.
“The coaches and everything that is going on there is something that’s becoming really special,” Snyder said. “Every time I go there, it feels like home. They all treat me very well. And it’s just a different feeling than what I got from other places.”
Coming out of Salina Central High School in the Class of 2026, Snyder is listed as a four-star prospect by the 247Sports index and the nation’s 241st-ranked player. He also checks in as the 21st-ranked player at his position and the second-ranked player in the state of Kansas.
“I think when I went to that basketball game, I was thinking, ‘Alright, I’m feeling pretty confident about it right now.’ I did plan, even that day, that I was still going to go through springtime and summer and take my visits,” Snyder continued. “And then, well, I guess I decided not to. I just went for it.”
With his commitment, Snyder joins seven other prospects who had previously committed to Kansas, alongside JJ Dunnigan, Hunter Higgins, Josh Galbreath, Nate Sims, Lennie Brown, Malachi Mills, and Jaylen Mason. The group ranks 13th in the country and first in the Big 12 Conference.
