After two years of waiting patiently behind Quinn Ewers, Texas sophomore quarterback Arch Manning is set to spread his wings as the Longhorns’ starter in 2025.
On Thursday, Manning announced a new NIL partnership that might help him get that process started, as the superstar signal-caller has officially signed a deal with Red Bull.
Manning made the announcement on Instagram with the caption, “target locked, wiiings secured”
With the announcement, Manning becomes the second college football player to sign a deal with the world-famous energy drink company, joining Ohio State wide receiver Jeremiah Smith.
College football probably hasn’t seen a player with the level of hype that Arch Manning is bringing to the table in quite some time. Given his namesake, obvious talent, and the roster makeup around him, there’s little doubt that Manning will become an instant superstar once he begins taking snaps as the full time starter in Austin.
In his two seasons as the backup in Steve Sarkisian’s system, Manning has flashed impressive skill. In 2024, Manning completed 61 of 90 attempts (67.8%) for 939 yards and nine touchdowns with just two interceptions, adding 108 yards and four scores on the ground.
Texas will open its 2025 season on the road against the defending national champions, the Ohio State Buckeyes, in what will likely be a No. 1 vs. No. 2 matchup.
