After a last-plash finish in 2024, Mike Gundy is back on the sidelines in Stillwater, ready for a taste of redemption.
Oklahoma State finished winless in league play with an abysmal 0-9 record. They were picked to finish third in the Big 12 Preseason Media Poll but quickly flew off the rails when push came to shove. They attack the 2025 season with new faces at nearly every position on offense and several key spots on defense.
Here’s a look at what they face next fall.

Schedule Breakdown
Oklahoma State kicks off its season against the UT Martin Skyhawks in Week One, but the biggest game by far of the non-conference schedule is against Dan Lanning and the Oregon Ducks in Eugene. The group finished the regular season off undefeated with a trip to the College Football Playoff as the No. 1 seed in 2024.
The group split six and six in terms of home vs. away games, with six games in Stillwater against UT Martin, Tulsa, Baylor, Houston, Cincinnati, and Kansas State. With an early bye following their Week Two matchup vs. Oregon, the Cowboys play a total of seven games in a row before their second bye week in Week 11.
The biggest test for Oklahoma State will come in the final three weeks of the season, closing out with games against Kansas State, UCF, and Iowa State. While the crew does host the Wildcats and the Cyclones, the duo will likely sit inside the AP Top 25 as the pair both enter the 2025 season with championship aspirations. Watch out for UCF as a trap game under new head coach Scott Frost.
