While Tuesday night’s game between Kansas State and Arizona State gave college basketball fans many things to discuss, one aspect of the game that continues to make rounds on social media is a unique nickname that spawned from the Wildcats’ 71-70 win.

Kansas State’s Brendan Hausen, known for his incredible shooting ability, dubs the nickname “The Amarillo Assassin.”

That nickname, however, quickly changed thanks to ESPN’s Pete Sousa, who was on the call for the Big 12 matchup in Tempe, Arizona. Hausen connected on four three-point shots against the Sun Devils, and instead of referring to him by the nickname referencing his hometown, Sousa slipped up and called him the “Armadillo Assassin” instead.

It didn’t take long for the clips to hit social media, with Wildcat fans everywhere virtually changing Hausen’s nickname overnight.
