On Wednesday, ESPN’s Joe Lunardi released an updated version of his bracketology picks for the 2025 NCAA Tournament.
The Big 12 Conference had struggled in previous updates, with fewer teams in contention for the tournament field than years prior. That all changed on Wednesday afternoon.
Lunardi featured a total of eight teams from the conference in the tournament field, including Houston, Iowa State, Texas Tech, Arizona, Kansas, Baylor, West Virginia, and BYU. Those weren’t the only teams listed, however, as four teams appeared on the bubble.
Kansas State (No. 75), Cincinnati (No. 80), Arizona State (No. 83), and UCF (No. 85) all checked in on the bubble with outside chances to reach post-season play. Cincinnati, Arizona State, and UCF had all received bubble spots in previous weeks, while Kansas State skyrocketed back into contention with their recent uptick in play.
