Kansas State fans are waiting anxiously to find out of their star player Ayoka Lee will be back for the 2025 NCAA Tournament. And on Tuesday, Lee said she has undergone a minor procedure on her foot, which she expects to sideline her for two weeks in hopes of returning in time to play in the 2025 NCAA Tournament.

“I made the decision now in order to give myself seven to 10 days of practice in preparation for the NCAA Tournament,” said Lee, who leads the Wildcats in scoring with 15.5 points per game and rebounding with a 6.1 average.

Lee returned after missing a month with an injury last Saturday against Kansas. She only played five minutes against the Jayhawks in a 90-60 victory. So by the time the NCAA Tournament rolls around, Lee will likely only have five minutes of game action over the prior two months, which could be an issue for the Wildcats, who want to make a deep run in March Madness.

Lee holds the K-State career scoring record and ranks sixth in Big 12 history with 2,488 points. She also is the school career leader in rebounds with 1,233 and blocks with 351.

No. 16-ranked K-State (25-5, 13-4 Big 12) wraps up its regular season Sunday with a 3 p.m. game at Iowa State. After Sunday, the Wildcats then turn their attention east to begin play in the Big 12 women’s basketball tournament in Kansas City at the T-Mobile Center.
