Arizona Basketball Announces Future Home-and-Home Series With SEC Powerhouse

According to a release from Arizona basketball, the Wildcats have announced a home-and-home series with the Auburn Tigers, currently the No. 1 team in the country and the runaway favorite to be the No. 1 overall seed in this year’s NCAA Tournament.

The series will begin with a game in Tucson in 2025-26, with the scheduled return game at Auburn to be determined at a later date.

Per the release, the game in Tucson will be played on Saturday, December 6, 2025.

TUCSON, Ariz. – Arizona Men’s Basketball has announced a home-and-home series with the Auburn University starting in Tucson during the 2025-26 season. The return game at Auburn will take place on a date still to be determined.  
 
The game in Tucson will be played on Saturday, Dec. 6, 2025.

Arizona and Auburn have only met twice in men’s basketball, with the Tigers winning both matchups. The first meeting was in the First Round of the NCAA Tournament on March 14, 1986 in Long Beach, Calif., where Auburn came away with a 73-63 win. The second meeting was on Nov. 21, 2018 as part of the Maui Invitational, with Arizona falling by a score of 73-57.
