Fair or not, Will Howard is catching a lot of heat for what fans saw during his NFL Combine performance on Saturday afternoon.

The former Kansas State and Ohio State quarterback is fresh off a National Championship with the Buckeyes, but as college football fans know, that doesn’t necessarily translate to NFL stardom. In fact, at least at the quarterback position, it rarely does.

But highlights from Howard’s performance were going viral on social media on Sunday for all the wrong reasons. Here are some of the throws that had fans talking.

And the reactions… as you would expect.

Howard threw for 4,010 yards, 35 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions, including his 231-yard performance to defeat Notre Dame in the College Football Playoff championship game.

Recently, Mel Kiper had Howard at No. 7 among the quarterbacks in the draft, behind players like Ole Miss’s Jaxson Dart and Alabama’s Jalen Milroe.

Howard is largely considered a Day 3 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, which would make him a fourth round pick, at the highest. But as we know, NFL teams are desperate for quarterbacks, and it will just take one of the 32 teams to be high on the Pennsylvania native to see if he can slide up in the draft.

And while fans might overreact to Howard’s NFL Combine performance, scouts and NFL executives will be looking at much more.
