Texas Tech has officially opened its brand new “Womble Football Facility,” and it’s clear that there’s a new standard for the Big 12—and probably the country.

The new home of Red Raiders’ football cost a whopping $242 million and features some of the craziest amenities that you’ll find in any sports facility in the world.

In addition to a new weight room and locker room, the Womble also features a two-story team lounge, the “Uncommon Man” barber shop, and even a podcast studio for the players to utilize.

The facility is officially open as of Tuesday, March 5, 2025, according to Front Office Sports.

Check out the entire facility in this virtual tour from the Red Raiders’ official YouTube channel.

In total, the Dustin R. Womble Football Center offers over 300,000 square feet of space dedicated to player development and well-being—and arguably the best facility that any college athlete could ever call home.

Since Joey McGuire took over the Red Raiders’ program in November 2021, it’s been headed in an upward trajectory. Now, with the nation’s best facilities, unmatched NIL backing, and a fanbase as rowdy as any in the nation, Texas Tech football is gearing up to bring Big 12 Championships to Lubbock in 2025 and beyond.
