Kansas State vs. Arizona State Predictions

While multiple stars will be seen in the matchup between the Sun Devils and Wildcats, two of the biggest names involved are dealing with some pretty serious injuries. Kansas State star forward Coleman Hawkins, who was recently named Third-Team All-Big 12, has been playing on virtually one leg over the past two games with a fractured tibia in his right leg.

For Arizona State, the group has been bothered with severe injuries all season long and appears to be without one of their stars yet again on Tuesday evening. That player is freshman phenom Jayden Quaintance, who has not seen the court since February 23rd against Kansas State.

Hawkins, averaging 10.4 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 4.5 assists per game, is expected to play against the Sun Devils, wearing a large brace on his right leg, while Bobby Hurley is expected to be without Quaintance yet again. In his absence, senior forward Basheer Jihad has stepped up, averaging 18 points per game.

When looking at statistics, neither team has a glaring advantage, as Kansas State holds the Big 12’s 12th-best offense and ninth-best defense, and Arizona State checks in at No. 9 and No. 15, respectively.
