BYU picked up a hard-fought 96-92 win over Iowa State on Thursday behind and incredible shooting performance and is on the rise as a result. While still on the five-line, the Cougars are inching closer to a four-seed and are now projected to face No. 12 seed McNeese.
Arizona is on the rise, too, after taking down Kansas on Thursday night. The Wildcats are now up to a four-seed and are projected to face No. 13 Lipscomb in the opening round.
Baylor played Texas Tech tough in a two-point loss on Thursday evening, and as a result, the Bears are off the bubble and up to a No. 9 seed. In today’s projection, the Bears would face No. 8 seed Creighton, with the winner likely moving on to face No. 1 seed Florida in the Round of 32.
