Arizona vs. Oregon Predictions

Arizona looked “deep NCAA Tournament run” good against Akron on Friday. The Wildcats defended the 3-point line well against the Zips, took advantage of a huge size advantage on the glass, and balanced out the offense. The Wildcats didn’t need a big game from guard Caleb Love to win. Jaden Bradley shined with 19 points, one of four Wildcats in double figures.

With a 56.5% night from the floor, another game like that and the Wildcats have a great chance of moving on to the Sweet 16. Lloyd is sticking with Tobe Awaka in the starting lineup and Henri Veesaar off the bench, a rotation that works well.

Oregon had a similar game against Liberty, as the Ducks shot 54.4% from the floor and better than 47% from the 3-point line. The Ducks also dealt with Liberty on the glass, outrebounding them by 16. Jackson Shelstad led Oregon with 17 points. Nate Bittle had a double-double.

This will be a much different game. The Ducks and the Wildcats match up well inside. The battle between Veesaar and Bittle, a pair of 7-footers with NBA aspirations, should be one to watch.

This feels like a game where the Wildcats need Caleb Love to have a Caleb Love game. If he does, the Wildcats advance.

Arizona 84, Oregon 80
