Mike Gundy and the Oklahoma State Cowboys were able to pick up a major commitment on Wednesday afternoon with a pledge from Jenks (Ok.) running back Kaydin Jones.
Listed at 6-foot, 185 pounds, Jones is coming off a fantastic junior season with the Trojans, rushing for 1,483 yards and 17 touchdowns in 2024.
Jones is the son of former standout Oklahoma running back Kejuan Jones, who played for the Sooners in the early 2000s and ended his career at OU with 2,331 yards and 36 touchdowns.
He is listed as a four-star prospect and is the No. 3 overall player in the state of Oklahoma.
Jones chose Oklahoma State over Oklahoma, Louisville, Kansas, and Vanderbilt, but also held offers from programs such as Oregon, Alabama, Tennessee, and Ole Miss.
According to On3, Jones is the No. 23 running back in the 2026 cycle and the No. 321 overall player in the country. He is the fifth commitment for Oklahoma State in this cycle, and at the moment, he’s easily considered the crown jewel of their group.
