While the college basketball transfer portal has been open for just a few days, one Big 12 has been moving fast to replace their losses from the 2024-25 season.

That team is the Iowa State Cyclones, who, according to On3’s Joe Tipton, are set to host the top-ranked player in the transfer portal this offseason.

South Dakota State big man, Oscar Cluff, headlines all of the portal-bound players through the first wave of action and is headed to Ames, Iowa, for a visit in the near future.

Cluff will start his visit schedule in West Lafayette, Indiana, for a stop with the Purdue Boilermakers from March 30th to April 1st. Shortly after, he will fly to Ames and will spend two days with TJ Otzelberger and his staff.

In 2024-25, Cluff was incredible for the Jackrabbits, averaging a double-double. He posted 17.6 points, 12.3 rebounds, and 2.8 assists per night on 63.4% shooting from the field. The Australian native recorded 22 double-doubles in 30 games played.

While Iowa State’s season came to an early and unfortunate end in the Round of 32 vs. Ole Miss, they are doing everything they can in the portal to avoid history repeating itself next fall.
