On Tuesday morning, 247Sports’ Travis Branham reports that TCU big man Ernest Udeh will enter the transfer portal after spending two seasons with the Horned Frogs.

Udeh transferred to TCU in May of 2023 after signing with Kansas out of high school as a member of the 2022 class.

Listed at 6-foot-11, 250 pounds, Udeh is coming off a career-best season at the college level, averaging 6.6 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 1.2 assists while playing just under 27 minutes per contest. He appeared in 30 games in 2024-25 and recorded six double-doubles, plus 10 games with double-digit rebounds, helping him rank seventh in the Big 12 in defensive rebounding.

Udeh was a McDonald’s All-American out of high school, ranking as the No. 31 overall player and No. 7 center in the country, according to 247Sports.

After improving his game across several statistical categories this season—including FG%, FT%, scoring, rebounds, assists, and blocks—Udeh will be one of the biggest targets in the portal this cycle.

And, with just one year remaining, he’ll be the perfect plug-and-play candidate for any teams needing to add a big man ahead of 2025.

TCU finished the 2024-25 season with a 16-16 overall record and a 9-11 mark in Big 12 play. Now, moving forward without Udeh, the Horned Frogs will have to go back to the drawing board for a key target under the basket.
