On Monday, Kalani Sitake and the BYU Cougars added a massive name in the Class of 2026 with the commitment of four-star tight end Brock Harris.
Harris, a 6-foot-6 pass catcher from St. Georga, Utah, became the third highest-ranked BYU commit in the modern-day recruiting era.
Coming out of Pine View High School in the Class of 2026, Harris is listed as a four-star prospect by the 247Sports index and the nation’s 56th-ranked player. He also checks in as the fifth-ranked player at his position and the top-ranked player in the state of Utah.
“Harris is one of the nation’s top tight end prospects and one of the most versatile as well,” 247Sports’ Greg Biggins wrote. “He’s a true every-down tight end who can play in any situation. He’s not just a pass-catching tight end, although he does excel as a receiver; he’s a strong in-line blocker who can play attached to the line of scrimmage. He can move around from the slot, out wide, and even play as an H-back.”
“He’s an advanced route runner with excellent hands and attacks the football,” Biggins continued. “He catches the ball well through contact and uses his frame to carve out separation from an opposing defender. He’s a tough kid who plays a physical game and shows some tackle breaking ability after the catch. He’s not an elite athlete right now in terms of burst and separation speed down the field and as he continues to improve in this area, he can take his game to another level. He has a college body right now and is one of the most ‘ready to play now’ tight end prospects in the ’26 class.”
Harris chose the Cougars over a plethora of options, including schools like Oregon, Alabama, Michigan, Georgia, Colorado, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, and many more.
With his commitment, he became the fifth player in his class to commit to BYU, joining PJ Takitaki, Ty Goettsche, Justice Brathwaite, and Kaneal Sweetwyne.
