Texas vs. Arizona State: Prediction

The disrespect for Arizona State is wild heading into this game, and there’s virtually nobody picking the Sun Devils. Now, Texas is undoubtedly the more talented team. In fact, outside of Ohio State (maybe?), the Longhorns have the best roster in college football.

Arizona State has been the underdog all season long, and they’ll play right into that role with a two-touchdown line over them. As good as Steve Sarkisian is as a play-caller, Texas is going to find a way to score some points. What Vegas is betting on though, is that Sam Leavitt and Cam Skattebo won’t be able to do enough offensively to keep pace. Texas’ defense is the best in the country, and there’s a lot on paper that says ASU won’t be able to get anything going on offense. Luckily for them, this game is played on the field, and I think the Sun Devils will have some chances with Skattebo and Co.

If Jordyn Tyson were available for this game, I’d probably take Arizona State to win this game out right, but without their top receiving threat, I think Sparky might fall just short. However, if I’m a betting man, I’m taking the points all day long.

TEX 34, ASU 31
